A HIGHWAY FROM OLD TO THE NEW! ISAIAH 62 VERSE 10

Empty streets and windows
It will surprise nobody that the year of 2020 is a year of extremes. We experienced a year we could have never imagined. Corona came, the measures and a lockdown came, then more measures, followed by loosening up, but still taking into account the possibility of a second wave. A partial lockdown came followed by a hard lockdown. Countless infections and stuffed hospitals caused for many to live in fear while others saw their lifeworks being destroyed. On top of this, we had to keep in mind that our normal would not return, but there would be a new normal instead.

When we look back at 2020, what do we see? Where were and are we focussed on? Despite everything, for us, 2020 was a year to be grateful for.
We have had an unbelievable number of women in the office we could help.
We were able to start giving several trainings.
We created resumes, together with the women, and applied with them for available jobs.
We had many lovely and deep conversations and talked about healing and letting go of the past.
We received many new contacts and women brought other women.
We saw that our loyal supporters kept supporting us with prayer and finances.
We noticed that the call for the emergency fund was answered massively.
We were able, because of that, to effectively and practically support in the financial need that arose for the ladies.
We received support from several funds.

Isaiah 62 – 10 ( Passion Translation )
Pass through, pass through the gates,
and go from old to new.
Prepare a new path for the people.
Build! Build up a highway for them to come to me!
Remove every hindrance
and unfurl a banner for the nations!

Building a highway!
I believe that we are on the road to something new. O and that’s not the new normal, whatever that may be. When we are focused on God and act like described in Isaiah 62 verse 10, God is willing to prepared a way for His people. That we can build a highway and take away obstacles, so that people can come to God. We are never able to do that when we focus on the circumstances or look through our rear-view mirror. Through the circumstances there is always hope with God if we find Him in these circumstances. We can unfold in unity a banner of His Kingdom for the nations, so that He will be seen and people around us will find this road and meet God. That’s how we as Bright Fame go into 2021 and look forward to a year with new possibilities. Will you join us through the gates of the new year? Building that highway together from the old to the new so that also in 2021 women will meet God.
